Man arrested with 13 rifles in his gas tank near Mexican border.
Been going on since 2008, which, IIRC, is about the time press started parroting the Mexican gun canard. Checking archives, looks like the canard started in October 2007. Senator Grassley calls for independent investigation of ATF.
And self-defense, in Mexico: It is a reality that Alex LeBaron, a state representative in northwestern Chihuahua, wants the government to confront. Domestic gun laws have remained a taboo subject among Mexican politicians for decades. LeBaron believes times have changed, and he wants Mexico to revisit gun politics. “The right to bear arms is an […]
On letting guns into Mexico: The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) will ask a multi-disciplinary panel of law enforcement professionals to review the bureau’s current firearms trafficking strategies employed by field division managers and special agents. This review will enable ATF to maximize its effectiveness when undertaking complex firearms trafficking investigations and […]
He tells a Mexican reporter that when asked about ‘vetoing’ the second amendment. That’s gotta sting, for the Brady Bunch.
NSSF says Mexican army providing drug cartel weapons. Wikileaks says there’s a smuggling operation going through government channels. That and the ATF is helping out too.
The story makes CBS news: Keeping American weapons from getting into the hands of Mexican gangs is the goal of a program called “Project Gunrunner.” But critics say it’s doing exactly the opposite. CBS News investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson reports on what she found.
Story picked up in the Mexican Press.
A zombie movie From the zombies’ perspective It’s so bad, it’s good Ok, a bit more. I actually liked this movie. It was campy as hell but decently done. Interesting story line makes for good comedy. I wonder if Mexican brains are spicy. Oooh, picante.
The Mexican Gun Canard. The WaPo brings it in, poorly. The NYT parrots the same bogus numbers. And a proposal that FFLs report bulk rifle purchases.
This morning, I used the speed limit loophole and exceeded the 65MPH limit on the interstate, for example. Some other examples: A dealer who loses his FFL can sell his inventory. And the Mexican loophole.
Mexican Drug Cartels apparently getting active in Tennessee. More here.
I guess those American gun shows are now in Guatemala.
MSNBC says that the Mexican civil war is fueled by .50 caliber machine guns that you can just walk into a gun shop and buy.
I’m sure the Mexican drug lord who is the owner of this rifle had it purchased lawfully at a US gun store. I can tell by the short barrel and the grenade launcher and grenades. From Gun Porn
The Mexican gun canard is in full swing again. It’s like there’s a narrative or something. And the inadequacy of U.S. efforts to stop the illegal trafficking? Sounds to me like the inadequacy is from the folks who keep letting the guns get in the country. You know what would stop that? Some sort of […]
You know what he haven’t heard about in a while? Guns in Mexico.
First, he calls the gun blogs fanatics because they dare point out that he was wrong about the whole Mexican Gun Canard. Now, he calls the milbloggers milkooks.
As long as the photo-op scares you Ahead of G20, Toronto police display “weapons” confiscated from protesters. Trouble is, most weren’t taken from protesters. And some were taken from role-playing fantasy gamers. Of course, police and the press like to parade around toys and claim they’re weapons all the time. Particularly, airsoft toys.
This video is confusing. You see, guns, we’re told, go from the US to Mexico. And Mexicans come from Mexico to the US. So, I’m not sure which way these guys are headed.
NSSF has a response to parroting the Mexican Gun Canard.
So, the troops heading to the border appear to be going there to keep things from getting into Mexico. Not to keep people and things from getting into the US. So, yeah, who is in charge?
Mexican President lies about guns.
Papers please. So, about that immigration bill. One of the dumber ideas out there. It requires police to verify the citizenship of those they have reasonable suspicion to believe are illegal immigrants. In other words, if you look Mexican, they might ask you for your papers. And police can be sued for not enforcing the […]
A Mexican military helicopter hovers over a Texas neighborhood.
Remember, you don’t need guns in parks because the odds of you running into a violent criminal or wild animal are slim. Except that part where Mexican drug gangs are commandeering land in the parks to grow marijuana: Not far from Yosemite’s waterfalls and in the middle of California’s redwood forests, Mexican drug gangs are […]
Guns in Mexico: The Houston case offers a glimpse into the underworld of illegal gun trafficking and how Mexican drug cartels find much of their firepower in the United States. Straw purchases are made by people who are legally qualified to buy firearms, but those weapons then make their way into the hands of criminals, […]
Unpossible again: a Hispanic male entered the restaurant through a back entrance, pointed a weapon at a clerk and demanded money. A second suspect, a black male, then came in and pointed a weapon at several customers demanding money. Both suspects then took cash from the register and fled the scene before police arrived. Don’t […]
In the US: I would like to see the assault weapons ban reinstated – it’s not philosophical, it’s because of what we have seen on the ground…There is a direct correlation between the assault ban and expiring in 2004 and the numbers – simply the sheer numbers – of assault weapons that we seize in […]
You’d think: With gun prices so high, surely Mexican criminals are looking elsewhere.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
