CompTac MTAC Update
I mentioned in my review of the MTAC that I had a bit of an issue with it. Well, they sent me another and, as you can see, the magazine disconnect issue has be fixed:

They even sent me a cool hat. I highly recommend Comp-Tac. Their product and customer service are excellent. Other people are digging them too.

I’m happy to hear that they took care of you. You’ll love your MTAC. I’ve been a carrying a Glock in mine for two years now, and recently bought an identical copy to put away so that if something on this one fails I won’t have to switch to OWB carry while I get it fixed.
With the CTAC I would take great relief in removing the holster as soon as I got home, but with the MTAC I routinely leave it on until I go to bed.
It’s so comfortable that now if I do carry OWB, even in a quality holster, having the weight of the gun away from my body feels strange.

I’m more of a fan of the Milt Sparks Versa Max holster for the twin-loop/clip design. I really don’t like Kydex loops. They stand out on my belt like a sore thumb.
That’s especially why I like the Andrews Macdaniel II. All leather.
But function is the most important thing, and it looks like your CTac passes muster.

Their fix was to make the kydex ride higher on the leather?
So the beaver tail is designed to stick out that far past the sweat guard???
As would a hammer on a traditional 1911??
Weird.

actually, not so much. that photo is a bit misleading due to the angle. the weapon comes down a bit more.
