Because you suck, and we hate you
Heckler and Koch is suing German Sports Guns and American Tactical Imports over trade dress infringements. Seems they don’t like GSG making a 22LR version of their MP5. Odd, since H undh K was sued a bit back for the same thing when they took an AR-15, put the takedown pin in the wrong spot and called it a 416. Colt sued. Colt lost.
Apparently, H undh K is suing everybody. 24 lawsuits because people are copying their stamped receiver guns with shitty triggers. Even Airsoft companies.

Personally I’ve never seen an H&K gun I was really impressed with. The closest came with their USP line, but throwing a thumb safety on a DA gun is something I don’t get, and then I look at the price tag.
They’re hardly the best guns out there….but I’m happy to further avoid them out of spite!

The USP is the best $500 pistol you can get for $800.

Heckler und Koch must do this. If they do not initiate this litigation they will be seen as sleeping on their rights.
Nothing out of line with this action, however if H&K were smart they would settle for a licensing agreement and a cut of the action.
And if HK were really smart they would bring out .22lr versions of other famous HK products such as the G3.

Larry Correia’s letter never gets old.
Regardless, I still want a P7. I’ve wanted one ever since I first saw ads for it in American Rifleman back in the early 80s.

Oddly enough, the local Goose Hill has P7s for $600 bucks. I almost bought it just so I could finally be cool.

I never figured out the infatuation I had with the P7. I saw it when I was 9 and just thought “I want one of those.” It’s never gone away. Sadly, there are never any to be found in central Illinois.

The very last lawsuit listed on the docket search page is depressing.

Shot an MP5 and an uzi side by side. Uzi wins hands down.

Apparently this is because HK will be having Umarex make copies of some of their designs, MP5 included. Gotta clear the decks of competition.
The only HKs I’ve shot were a full size MP5 and a G36. Accurate, controllable, but controls designed for a non-human primate. Pass.

Right in one.

All of those lawsuits against airsoft retailers is pretty lousy too in my book. It is in a similar taste as the GSG-5 clone since all retail imports of airsoft in the U.S. are without trademarks on the guns. It would be like H&K suing Gander Mountain and Cabelas for selling the GSG-5. But I bet they won’t beat up on them since they sell some of their other products.
It’s frustrating because stupid lawsuits like this are why it is getting hard to get good airsoft replicas for at home training, FOF, and fun.

I think Derek got rid of his P7 – with some regret.
To me the squeezer makes it look like the sprayer on the end of my garden hose. I like my Sig better.

I wonder if it’s how they tell the stockholders they’re fighting the bad economy
I have nearly everything but only one HK; the M1 Super 90 when they made it. It is engineering genius and craftsmanship, but I guess Benelli should get that credit.
