Ouch

Why firearms training is important.

Nice shirt too.

Letting a new person fire a weapon they are not prepared for, OR underdress so radically does NOT help the cause or the person. Whoever thinks this is teaching ought quit screwing up instruction until they grow up.

This is Pathetic. New shooters are the lifeblood of Second Amendment rights and our sport. They should be TAUGHT, not exploited.

  2. SayUncle Says:

    Amen.

  3. AughtSix Says:

    Agreed.

She did keep her finger off the trigger after getting hit, however. Well done. About the only thing done right in that clip…

  4. ben Says:

Were they even using hearing protection? I couldn’t tell. That .50AE would sure give your ears a nice dial-tone without at least plugs.

  5. john Says:

wow, her grip may be weak due to inexperience, but her instincts are great! Her stance is much better than most beginners.

Keeping her trigger off the trigger invokes “Newton’s Third Law of Respect”: I gained respect for the young lady in an equal and opposite measure of that which was lost toward her friend.

  6. Jay G Says:

Perhaps I missed something, but I don’t see anywhere that she was a new shooter.

New to the Deagle, that may be, but there’s nothing to indicate this is her first time shooting from the video…

(More Devil’s Advocate than anything. I certainly wouldn’t bet against that being her first time…)

  7. # 9 Says:

That is a hell of a lot of pistol. I have never shot one but I can imagine they kick more than a little. She looks a little like the better half until she pulls the trigger but the better half could handle a .50. Although the better half would never wear that outfit to the range. We use ear plugs and over the ear protection. I wouldn’t shoot a hand cannon with just ear plugs.

At least there was no misfire after the gun to nose meet up. I don’t think she was a first time shooter. But that is too little clothing and way too much gun.

  8. David K. Says:

Don’t be too hard on her, guys. I just went out shooting w/ some brothers from my church. I brought my G22 (.40S&W) and another fellow brought a P-3AT. That little pocket pistol about twisted itself out of my grip because I was “only” holding it hard enough to control the .40. Maybe she just wasn’t ready for the mule to kick *up*

Also, booburns have got to hurt. Today I caught a “fresh” 5.45 case in my open palm by accident and dropped it in a hurry. I’d go shooting w/ a chick in a bikini, but she would have won the argument through sheer hard-headedness.

  9. USCitizen Says:

My little guy really wanted to try the Desert Eagle .50AE at the range. I said no, and he pouted.

I showed him this video, and he said, “I wouldn’t have done that.”

    He’s pretty sure of himself.

Anyway, Happy New Year from Traction Control. Hoping that 2008 is the greatest ever for you and yours.

I’ve shot a .44 mag out of a DE and the recoil is nothing. There is more recoil in a hammer when you hit a nail into a 2×4 than from almost any gun in the world. We all love to impress the ladies and all, but it can only go so far. The excuse of recoil has no place on the battlefield.

  11. workinwifdakids Says:

This is the 2nd time in a month we’ve seen YouTube videos of boys (I shan’t call them men; they are NOT) who appear to be exploiting young women with firearms for internet video. The first one was hurt. Thankfully this one wasn’t, but this isn’t entertainment.

  12. Sebastian Says:

The only thing I keep thinking is “That doesn’t look like the kind of place that you’d be able to shoot stuff” My local range doesn’t have a fountain 🙂

  13. Cactus Jack Says:

She looked like she knew what she was doing but I dont think she was prepared for the recoil. I had a similar experience the first time I fired a .44 mag except that I didnt get whapped by it.

  14. Breda Says:

Brass burns on your boobs? Not sexy.

  15. thirdpower Says:

Maybe not, but the Aloe application could be.

  16. Les Jones Says:

I developed a bad flinch from shooting a .50 AE Deagle at Coal Creek Armory, but it wasn’t from the recoil. It was from the brass hitting me square in the forehead the first two shots. By the third shot I had a bad flinch from my brain learning from experience.

  17. Tam Says:

While the .50DE doesn’t recoil nearly as badly as most folks would expect, I can see how it would get away from someone who wears size “S” gloves. The grip on the thing has approximately the same dimensions as a 2×4 and the factory grips are slick.

  18. UNHchabo Says:

I fired the DE .50AE a year or two ago… on the first shot I was unsure if it was the brass or the pistol that had hit me in the nose. Since I almost broke my nose when I was 6, it’s pretty sensitive to being hit. Turns out it was just the brass coming back. Stupid design can’t put it off to the side. 😉

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
