Deal Alert

And unlike last time, I ordered them already so you goobers don’t run them out of stock. Harbor Freight has electronic ear muffs for $20 ($28 with shipping). It protects about 15db less than Pro-Ears but is only about $200 less. For $28, I’m willing to check them out.

    Anybody tried those?

I’ve got the Radians – and they’re OK, but they don’t cut down quite enough for long shooting or the .44. About to try the behind the ears/plugs they’ve got, see how those do.

Part of my home defense is about to be, have a set of those next to the bed. Since I can’t have a silencer, might as well make sure my hearing is good. 🙂

The main thing to look for is the NRR (noise reduction rating). According to the manual for these, the NRR is 24 dB, which is pretty good.

Let us know how they work as far as clipping.

Personally, whenever someone calls me a delicious chocolate covered peanut, I take it as a compliment.

Readership is down (rather hits are down) due to google.

I have a pair. They work pretty well. I don’t like to use them on indoor ranges. (I have found on indoor ranges they are almost always engaged as people are shooting all the time) They work great outdoors.

Is there an “Alter of The Google Gods” you can make a sacrifice upon to curry their favor again?

Or do you just have to stop using this word? Gun

  8. SayUncle » Initial Product Review: Western Safety Electronic Hearing Protection Says:

[…] I mentioned a deal on from Harbor Freight on Electronic Hearing Protection. Mine arrived yesterday. No opportunity to take them to the range yet but I wore them around the house a bit yesterday. They amplify soft sounds. For example, I can hear mouse clicks and keyboard strokes on my quiet keyboard and if there are no other sounds, I can hear Junior sawing toothpicks in the background. And they block out loud sounds, the only one I tried was loud hand-clapping. And it blocked that out completely. The Mrs. liked them too. […]

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
