SUV Bleg Update
You may recall my SUV Bleg from a bit back. Well, it looks as though we’re tentatively going to go with the Volvo XC90. Anyone have experience with them?

I hear the Tahoe LTZ is a sweet ride.
Just kidding.
I have a friend who has the Volvo XC90. They love it.

Volvo is anti-gun and anti-hunting. Sure you want to reward that kind of behavior with your hard earned cash?

They are? That’s why I’m not buying toyotas.

Crap, I was just about to buy a Camry. Does either of you have a link? Neither Volvo nor Toyota is on the list.

Based on my limited understanding, this seems like almost a non-issue. My understanding is that Toyota gives scholarships to a few kids selected by a panel of college professors and administered by ETS, and one of them happened to be an anti-gun nut. The only wrongdoing I see on Toyota’s part is highlighting that individual in their press release, rather than someone else. Am I missing something?

Also, what about Honda, Nissan, etc.? I haven’t seen anything about them, but then again, I haven’t seen anything on Volvo, either. The NRA blacklist and VCDL’s more hit-and-miss counterpart don’t mention any automobile companies.

Not sure about the blacklists. They never seem to tell you why. I know why with toyota.

My wife and I are the proud owners of a 2004 XC-90, which we bought in April. We love it.

The Volvo is fine, however if you start drinking lattes…
