God, that is so horrifying. But it actually happened to a friend of mine when he was a child. He was out walking with his dog on a country road when it was struck by a redneck in a truck. My friend began sobbing because his poor dog was not dead, so the driver grabbed a baseball bat and beat my friend’s dog to death in front of him.

Yeah, I’ve had to cap a few critters in my time. But I don’t think I’d have phrased it quite like that.

If he had a gun, why didn’t he just finish them with it? Seems like a shot in the head would be better than being bludgeoned to death.
