Speaking of race comparisions
Bloomberg say that blacks shouldn’t support gun rights:
Mayor Bloomberg made a plea yesterday to black New Yorkers to join him in his fight for stricter gun control laws.
“We have to do something, and I need your support. You’ve got to stand up and say, ‘No more,'” Bloomberg told the Rev. Floyd Flake’s congregation at the Greater Allen African Methodist Episcopal Cathedral in Jamaica, Queens.
Well, you could stop shooting each other.

“Blacks shouldn’t support gun rights”?? That’s one thing upon which the NAACP and the KKK agree. Keeping people unarmed and disarming them is a basic ingredient to slavery. The history of gun contol in our country is racist and it continues.
IF gun control is good for black people and other citizens, then Mayor Bloomberg should lead by example and have no armed protection for himself or any other public SERVANT!!

Straightarrow,
Well-said!
And only an enemy wants you disarmed!

Stop shooting each other?
Are you looking for a scapegoat other than those precious killing machines apparently everyone in America needs?

Nope. Point out that the majority of gun violence in the country is black on black gun violence.

Bloomberg has idiots advising him. Playing the race card when race has never been an issue in what you’re trying to sell politically is one of the most basic mistakes any politician can make.
Since anyone whose beliefs will be strengthened by this race card are already in the camp, it is a waste of time.
Since there are many of those who are on the fence, and some of them below Mason and Dixon’s Line, and those folks will now be anti-Bloomberg, it is not only a waste of time but works against his program.
From a gamesman’s view, Bloomberg just defeated himself with this move.
