I think “impatient” best describes my reaction… Any kind of ruling on the 2nd would have been nice a long time ago.

What’s to be nervous about? There are only so many basic outcomes:
1) A win for our side of some sort.
2) Status quo
3) A loss of some sort for our side.
Results 1 & 2 are no problem – at most we’re disappointed.
Result 3 could be a problem but the fact that the Supremes know that if it’s too big a problem it will cause… unrest helps, I think, lessen the odds of anything drastic.
The way I see it the odds are we won’t be too displeased by what happens.
So yeah, I’m also in the ‘impatient’ camp, and hoping they do take the case.

Same here, impatient.

As nervous as we might be, I guarantee the Bradys are more nervous. A lot of people over there might have to get real jobs soon.

Well they could all go to work in day care centers, I have listened to their crap for years about how their efforts are all “for the children”. Of course, Sarah bought her child a firearm. So maybe she doesn’t like him, or could it be his playmates. Yeah, I know he’s too old for playmates, but if he hasn’t matured any better than his mother he probably still has his sandbox.

IF the Supreme Court justices know the basic rules of English grammar, they will rule in favor of the individual RKBA IF they read the 2nd Amendment grammatically and interpret “militia” in the subordinate clause, grammatically and historically. I suppose those are big IF’s.
However IF they take the view that the RKBA is restricted to the (organized) “militia of a free state”, then ALL Federal gun laws are illegal since the Bill of Rights are, according to the Preamble of the Bill of Rights, “restrictive” of the Federal Government and NOT the People or the States.

BTW, Ron W, that was a very prescient observation. Not that being correct carries any weight at the level this issue will be legally decided. It may require more direct action than a parsing of words.
What with all the trouble our enlightened and highly educated have with redefinitions and penumbras and all.
