Be Prepared
Combat mindset is one way to put it. I’ve always liked the Boy Scout version (be prepared) better. It doesn’t scare the feminized majority.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

Good point – Be prepared is a motto to live by.

” To Ride, Shoot Straight, And Speak The Truth. My favorite chapter in the book is one entitled, ‘The Combat Mind-Set’ in which Cooper discusses a person’s mental reaction to aggression.”
That sounds like a good read…a must read, especially to combat the massive feminzation propaganda that seeks to make us into pathetic unarmed victims. I suppose this “feminizated majority” is the result of an effective strategy currently being promoted against the populace of America. It must be resisted!

That’s my motto.

Wait. I thought that it is invalid to compare guns to phalluses, yet the inverse is not?
March 6th, 2008 at 10:18 pm
who compared a dick to a gun?
March 6th, 2008 at 10:23 pm
Oh, I’ve seen it shot down here many times when people accuse other people of “compensation” and the like. You know the line “Gunners compensate for little dicks with big guns.” To be feminine is to be a victim?

if you would have clicked the link then you would know that by the phrase feminine majority, i was making reference to a book in the other post.

“if you would have clicked the link then you would know that by the phrase feminine majority, i was making reference to a book in the other post.”
Oh, no need. I knew exactly which book you are referencing by the phrase. If there is one thing I am familiar with it is the tortured logic of second-wave feminists, though I have never heard of Katherine Adam. Charles Derber is an academic who studies globalization and writes BIG IMPORTANT BOOKS. He kind of fancies himself as a Noam Chomsky of sociology, though the follow through isn’t so good. I was given his “People before Profit.” It was a fairly simplistic screed against corporate globalization.

so, like i said, who compared a wang to gun?

Who equates victimhood with femininity?
March 6th, 2008 at 11:16 pm
you did.

IMHO, combat mind-set has stages
1 – Preparedness: having the best attitude is not worth much unless you have invested in equipment and training.
2 – Awareness: Recognizing the signs of approaching trouble allows one to avoid trouble if possible or to (maybe) deal with it at a lower level of force.
3 – Be Willing (to paraphrase J. B. Books): having the best of intentions is useless if at critical moment one cannot act appropriately. It is easy to get a weapon and carry permit; but unless you invest in quality training (including force on force) and KNOW that you can use force if need be, you are heading for a disaster. This includes being able to deal with the aftermath.
