Why? Free content. I’m thinkin’ I would request they stop as well as–if you aren’t already–copyright your content. It probably (certainly?) affects your SEO to have your content completely re-posted like that…
All original content may be quoted, provided a link to the site appears with the quote.
This seems to give them the right to quote you. There’s no restriction on only quoting only a small portion of a post, so they seem to be able to quote the whole thing. However, I do think that they are violating your TACOS by not linking back to you. They should link directly back to your sight, not through their own tracking URL mischief.
If you want to have some fun, disambig your TACOS and then send them a DMCA take-down notice.

Congrats Uncle. That is big news.

Blank page when I clicked the link…
March 6th, 2008 at 11:38 am
still works for me.
March 6th, 2008 at 11:43 am
Because you work cheap?
I’m assuming they didn’t send you a check. Did they send you any traffic?
March 6th, 2008 at 11:43 am
Works for me.
Congratulations!
March 6th, 2008 at 11:49 am
Cool… They did credit you…
You ask them where your wheelbarrow is?
March 6th, 2008 at 12:03 pm
Ooooh! Unc’s hit the big time!
Congrats, you’ve earned it.
March 6th, 2008 at 12:08 pm
I don’t think it’s big time. I think they just have an aggregator of some sort.
No check. Traffic has been about 3 hits in an hour.

“Views in these blog posts are those of the author and not of Reuters.”
Yeah, no kidding.
March 6th, 2008 at 12:30 pm
It’s using Blog Burst, which is basically using RSS to populate their pages.
I’d almost think that’s a lawsuit since they make money off of your posts without compensating you.
March 6th, 2008 at 12:32 pm
You signed up with BlogBurst? (Or someone else did it for you?)
March 6th, 2008 at 12:36 pm
Interesting; now maybe they’ll get something besides bad articles from bad journalists.
March 6th, 2008 at 12:41 pm
Nah. read my Terms of Service and Assorted Legalese.
I didn’t sign up for blogburst.
March 6th, 2008 at 1:00 pm
You made it through their 17 layers of fact checkers?
March 6th, 2008 at 1:25 pm
I think you just bought a general indemnity from the AP by your own ToS.

That’s really freakin’ weird.
March 6th, 2008 at 2:38 pm
I’m such a bad blogger. I had to google SEO.
March 6th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
Does this mean you’re a part of the MSM now?
March 6th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
Well, curt, I’ve been blogging at the local newspaper for a while so that’s not new.
SayUncle: part of the problem!
March 6th, 2008 at 5:03 pm
They post your material because they need some real content. They are thus elevating the quality and prestige of their web site. Can you blame them?
March 6th, 2008 at 6:41 pm
So will Google now list you as an official News Source? You should be getting your MSM Wheelbarrow of Cash any time now!

Isn’t wholesale copying a violation of the fair-use part of copyright law?
March 7th, 2008 at 8:37 am
Well, it’s a vast improvement from their normal reportage. Congratulations.
