“One study found that a gun in the home is 22 times more likely to be used in a crime, accident or suicide than for self-defense, according to the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.”
Why do journalists continually accept this totally bogus Kellerman statistic?
I wonder how long before we top 700,000 licenses issued statewide. No one knows for certain what the true total number is, but it’s somewhere around 600,000.

Because the media wants to believe it and they want the public to believe it as well.
The “gun culture” seems to be thriving in Robertson County, Tennessee. Our local gunshop has grown extensively and the parking lot is always full, especially EVERY weekend when they have weeekly CCW training classes. It used to be every other week–back in 2001 when I took the course there.
I’ve also increased my personal arsenal since that time with several acquisitions and it seems obvious that many others are doing so as well. Including my local gunstore, there are 3 other gun stores within about a 10-12 mile radius of my house–and contrary to media and political lies that guns=crime, we are not a high crime area. Criminals realize the danger and go elsewhere.

Dontcha just love the hypocrite prosecutor?
“Tommy Pope, former 16th Circuit solicitor who holds a concealed weapons permit, said having a gun can be dangerous.
“Based on my experience as a prosecutor, I’ve seen many volatile situations that have only been made worse by the presence of a firearm,” Pope said. “
