Quote of the day
I believe 2008 is either going to be the year we will look back on as the pivotal year that sent the gun control movement to join the temperance movement in the dungeon of political irrelevance, or it will be the year when gun owners snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Which path we take is entirely up to us.

I think the main key to making it the former rather than the latter is to keep most gun rights advocates the hell away from public sight as much as is humanly possible. Public appearances by gun rights activists do for gun rights what gay pride parades do for gay rights…

Yes and people named jake are inherently retarded 😉
Btw, why can’t you just stick to one moniker there, metulj?

because he’s a pragmatist

It’s his first name, and actually can be spelled reliably?
I dunno.
Tgirsch, if we don’t have reasonably sane individuals like Saysuncle, Joe Huffman, the average individual’s viewpoint on guns is that Heller plans to unleash the apocalypse. If that means we have to deal with David Codrea, so be it.

The temperance movement is alive and well, it’s called MADD, among other things. Where do you think the 0.08% level came from? DC police can still arrest for DUI for ANY level of alcohol.
The gun control movement may shrink a bit, but it’s not going away.

Ok gatt, what’ve you got against David?
