Everyone has weak spots in their personality. Some people have trouble with math, logic and reasoning. Others (like myself) have difficulty understanding emotions and feelings. I can’t even count the number of family fights that have sprung out of the different personality styles within my family.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve gotten better at empathizing, but it still takes constant effort. Most people seem extremely emotionally fragile to me and I’m still not great at picking up cues so I have to constantly be watching myself.
IMO, a lot of the different political views people have spring directly out of personality and communication style. A person who is weak with logic but strong in terms of reading and understanding emotions will have a very different reaction to the idea of a burglar being shot than someone whose natural habitat is the crunching of numbers and reasoning to a conclusion.
And judging from my own family, I am almost certain it is hereditary.

Somebody, somewhere, figured out that naming any personality trait would net them money and critical acclaim within their circles.
Now, I just need to come up with a name to describe why I laugh at dumb shit psychologists.

Well, I don’t know what the name for it might be, but I laugh at them because psychology is the powder-room of philosophy.
