Guns in DC
The National Shooting Sports Foundation reports:
The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) has launched a public awareness campaign to inform Washington, D.C., residents—particularly those now considering purchasing a handgun—about the many educational resources it makes available to firearms owners. The campaign follows the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark decision (Washington, D.C., et. al. vs. Heller) reaffirming the Second Amendment as an individual right and ruling the district’s ban on handguns unconstitutional.
The campaign includes full-page advertisements appearing today in the district’s major newspapers—The Washington Post, The Washington Times and The Hill—along with shooting seminars in the metro area, available free of charge, to D.C. residents.
Update: NSSF running ads in the Washington Post!
ETA: Boy, did I screw that one up. I copied the wrong link and text. Yeehaw!

Post ad has pretty good placement – page A11 – directly across from the continuation of the lead story on the front page today – a big piece on the efforts to train Afghans to root out the Taliban

I’m pretty shocked that you would see an ad like this in the WaPo. Of course, it’s not like it’s an ad from the NRA
I’m also pretty perplexed how a post about free training at 2107 Leggett Rd
Sale Creek, TN 37373 has anything to do with “Guns in DC” That’s quite a ride for anyone in Washington.
