Moles
When not talking about guns, we gun bloggers were talking about gun rights strategy. One of the more interesting bits was brought up by Joe Huffman who noted that, though the anti-gunners try to get info on our side through nefarious means, they’re mostly unsuccessful because they’re easy to spot. See, we use a whole vocabulary and they probably can’t keep the subterfuge up (what kind of gun do you own? where do you shoot? Isosceles or Weaver? etc. – they’ll be inconsistent).
We have an advantage because it’s easy to act like a pants-shitting, hysterical ninny.

The antis don’t need moles. I send them stuff all the time. I got a bunch of them on my mailing list.
I recall Dean Spier even saying he met one of them, I think it was Josh Sugerman, at the SHOT Show a number of years back.

They’re simply not going to get as entrenched as Mcfate did, though.

True, but again, they don’t need to.
Maybe ten years ago one of our guys got into one of the antis meetings on Long Island. You know that movie which has an x-ray type machine that shows when a person is carrying a gun? It was either a James Bond or Arnold Schwarzenegger film. Anyway, one of the antis was going on about how she thought the movie was real and that it proved that people were carrying guns all the time and she was worried about it.

Where did I read something recently where the supposed gunnie made a big deal about being able to field-strip all his firearms? Blam–there goes your cover!

“…pants-shitting, hysterical ninny.”
Correction; that’s pants-shitting, hysterical, ignorant ninny.
They’re a subset of what I call “ignoracrats”—participants in a form of government called an “ignoracracy” — a political system based on ignorance.

We also have the advantage that gun grabber language and propaganda is ubiquitous, it’s pretty hard for us NOT to know it. They’re not only ignorant of us and our culture, but proud of it.

The movie you’re thinking of is “Total Recall” with the Governator and he smashes the view screen of the machine…so just tell her it was the only one we had it got broken, she’ll probably believe it! I guess she missed the part about how he got the gun from a bunch of thugs who were trying to kill him…

Right now, I only own a Walther PPK in .22 LR and a skinny-butt Beretta in .380 ACP. I shoot them one-handed — left-handed and right-handed. I would have to look up Weaver stance and isosceles. I bought the holsters but never used them. When I did carry them, it was in a pocket or just tucked into my waistband. More concealable.
