More Palin Comparison
Oh, I forgot to mention one other criticism and it is basically how the left says Palin sucks because she was mayor of a shit-hole town and governor of a shit-hole state. Nothing. Not sticking.
Today’s chump illustrating this bogus criticism is Sean Braisted who notes the two buildings that both Palin and Obama worked in. Which is funny because he’s reduced to comparing his number one guy to the GOP’s second fiddle.
Update: related: Sarah Palin and Barack Obama are more or less the same age, but Governor Palin has run a state and a town and a commercial fishing operation, whereas (to reprise a famous line on the Rev Jackson) Senator Obama ain’t run nothin’ but his mouth.

And Abe Lincoln grew up in a log cabin. HAW HAW! Stupid hillbilly!
It’s funny how the Palin haters can’t grasp the difference between an executive and a legislator. You know why Obama was in a bigger building as, say, a state legislator? Because he was one of dozens and dozens of people in the same position.
Another difference – if you’re a Senator you get an office, but if you’re the governor you get a mansion.
September 2nd, 2008 at 10:29 am
But it’s a shithole mansion!!!!
And, also, given that obama doesn’t show up to his day job, he doesn’t have much legislator experience either.
But he’s got the hopey and the changey!!!!!

With all due respect, I have been to Chicago and I was in Wasilla about three weeks ago. Whereas Wasilla is a clean place with friendly people, Chicago is a place where you don’t feel safe driving through town. How clean Chicago may be doesn’t matter because you don’t want to step out of your car in large sections of it.
Whereas the Alaskan mentality is one of self reliance, Chicago has a large number of career welfare warriors.
Give me the shithole anytime over the hellhole.

“Which is funny because he’s reduced to comparing his number one guy to the GOP’s second fiddle.”
Hahahah!

Whatta bunch of maroons! FYI donks, what your workplace looks like dont mean squat. It’s what you accomplish there that matters.

The more they scream, the more I chortle in my joy.
September 2nd, 2008 at 11:34 am
Wow, he’s really reaching isn’t he? When you point out that she’s the actual Governor, he poo-poos that as if being a legislator of Chicago somehow is more important simply because there’s more people involved (ignoring the fact that a legislator doesn’t do the job by himself).
September 2nd, 2008 at 11:38 am
That hope and change stuff was just for the suckers. The story about how he got elected to his first state position- by having everyone else on the ballot disqualified, is the way he really is.
September 2nd, 2008 at 12:36 pm
Not to inflame some of the wacko liberals that come here, put this is a political tarbaby. You touch it and you cannot untouch it.
It is sad to watch these sick people attack a teenager. But what do you expect from closet Marxists?
September 2nd, 2008 at 12:54 pm
“Closet Marxists”? Could they be more overt?
September 2nd, 2008 at 2:17 pm
given that obama doesn’t show up to his day job, he doesn’t have much legislator experience either.
Err, have you seen McCain’s record of missed votes? He makes Obama’s (lack of) attendance look exemplary!
September 2nd, 2008 at 2:20 pm
But he’s been being absent for 20 years! That’s more experience than Obama, who’s been doing it for only 3! 😉
September 2nd, 2008 at 3:06 pm
Heh, she had to hire an administrator to help run the town of 5K.
Bwahahahaha.
September 2nd, 2008 at 3:07 pm
But, she likey the guns, so its all good…best VP pick in generations.
September 2nd, 2008 at 4:00 pm
I work for a company that has 1/10th that many people. We have many administrators. What’s Obama’s staff size? Oh, the biggest one ever.
And Obama compares running a campaign to running a state! That’s his executive experience.
But he’s hopechange ™ !
September 2nd, 2008 at 5:04 pm
Actually, he compared his executive experience to her service as mayor. But hey, she’s hot and likes guns, so why worry about all the rest?
September 2nd, 2008 at 5:16 pm
i.e., his none to her plenty.
Err, she’s better on the rest too. I mean, she lacks in the HopeChange ™ department but otherwise is pretty straight up populist conservative.
September 2nd, 2008 at 5:39 pm
Rightwing social conservative who believes contraception is akin to abortion, and that women who are victims of rape and incest shouldn’t have access to abortion. Show me a poll where that is a populist position.
September 2nd, 2008 at 7:40 pm
Sarah Palin is a nobody. She has no experience to speak of. She has not accomplished anything.
How can I tell that? The woman is 44. How many autobiographies has she written?
NONE!
If she had done something worthwhile, she would have written at least ONE autobiography by now. We know that Obama is great because he has two under his belt.
Take that, you right wing nutjobs!
September 2nd, 2008 at 8:37 pm
So, basically Braindead is saying that the best Obama can do is compare himself to something in the past and try to avoid the fact she’s a sitting Governor since, well, that’s quite a bit more experience than he’s ever had.
And, if the VP actually had the power to force everyone to not have abortions, then I’d consider that a negative. But she can believe that candle wax on the anus of a goat will bring rain as far as I care so long as she can abide by the constitution.
Don’t worry Sean, the mean old Palin isn’t going to take away your ability to smash fetuses.
September 2nd, 2008 at 8:56 pm
And leave us not forget how much experience the obamamassiah has in stealing taxpayer money and passing it off to his thieving friends in Chicago.
September 2nd, 2008 at 9:00 pm
I’m amazed at the fear this woman provokes in her detractors. But I like it!
September 2nd, 2008 at 9:52 pm
Obama executive experience compared to Palin’s. Looks like 2 points for America, zero for the libs.
September 2nd, 2008 at 11:09 pm
Braindead Sean:
Source, please?
September 3rd, 2008 at 5:03 am
I think part of it is that while she was mayor of Wasilla she managed to rack up $20 million in debt, guys.
And the fact that she has “executive experience” doesn’t really mean shit, it was of ALASKA, which doesn’t translate at all to POTUS.
Also, neither of the candidates has executive experience, so you can’t really compare her to anyone in that regard.
September 3rd, 2008 at 8:09 am
Show me a poll? How typical of the left to want to gauge the air, rather than stake a position.
September 3rd, 2008 at 3:47 pm
Smacklug, from my reading the debt was voted on by the town (it was $15m for public somethingorother + $5m for other items) so it’s not exactly as if she mismanaged the money.
And actually, Alaska has some interesting neighbors (furriners, actually) that she’s had to deal with. So, while not 87 years of experience, it is some.
And that some is light years away from the Chosen One.
