Douchebag

The maker of The Back Up (a bedside shotgun rack) issued a presser stating that maybe one of these would have saved Jennifer Hudson’s family from tragic death.

I’m as pro-gun as they get but that is pretty tasteless.

I agree it’s pretty tasteless.

I also find all the “but…but…but they’re trying to EXPLOIT A TRAGEDY for gain” outcry a bit much, considering that’s how the antis in the press and various organizations do business on a daily basis.

Tastless though it may be; looking at it as a purely logical exercise, they may be correct.

OK, so now it’s been what, 65 years, give or take? Can we assert that if all the Eurpoean Jews had had a culture of self-preservation and had kept shotguns at their beds, the holocaust might (just might) have been a lot smaller, without being classified as douchebags?

Maybe their error was in dropping the names of specific victims. That would be, at a streatch, sort of blaming the victims for not being armed. And yes, that’s not cool.
