’cause we’re all racists, obviously
Why are white people buying assault weapons?
Because Obama has made it a platform issue to ban them. And they will, therefore, go up in value?
Anyway, it’s anecdotal but the other day I was at Coal Creek Armory and it was packed. More interesting was there were, in lily white west Knoxville, three black men in there buying handguns and assault rifles. And they were not together.

I wonder how much of this purchasing spree is based on the assumption of artificial supply limit causing the price to increase or how many are like me, who bought my EBR because I feel it’s important to send a clear message that I will remain armed no matter what laws they pass.

” And they were not together. ”
You’re actually touching on something there that’s kind of interesting on a sociological scale.
Due to the price structuring we use, between groups and individuals there’s about a 50/50 split, and groups generally are 3-4 people, sometimes up to 10. Folks will gather their friends, family, and neighbors for a range day, because it saves money.
So yeah, there’s a tiny little merit to the comment.

Maybe they were afraid of an uptick in Klan membership?

@Sean
In that case, good on them for taking a page from Ida B. Wells and Ernest Thomas, both of whom actually contributed to civil rights.

I’m not sure what the big deal is about And they were not together. I’m just noting that they did not arrive together.

Subtext: they did not seem to be gang-bangers, but upstanding citizens like everyone else in the establishment.

Sean, maybe they’re worried that the upcoming administration and heavily weighted legislature is going to try to make gun ownership much more difficult.

Unc, you’ve obviously stumbled upon another racist “code word”, this one in the form of a phrase.
