47 Gun Bills
That’s how many have been introduced in TN this year, per Chas Sisk.
One of them is a bill to allow those with handgun carry permits to carry on college campuses, to which insty says:
I’m for it, though I’d extend permission to licensed students. As I’ve noted before, I have a number of students with carry permits and I’d feel safer, not less safe, if they were carrying on campus.

Big deal. I’m following 158 now, plus some local. Over a typical 2 year session I track about 250 state bills.

I hope that this one in particular passes and then that other states follow suit. It would be a good step to making our campus environments safer

“…I’d feel safer, not less safe…”
It’s not a matter of how you feel. It’s the question of whether we have the strength of conviction to uphold an enumerated right even if it might be unpolular with a loud and misguided minority.

To be fair, about 40 of those are redundant…

Our campus carry bill in TX is still “pending in committee” where it may well die this session; Better luck next session, I hope.
