So, Obama flew a pizza guy to DC?
Update: Turns out, not as bad as reported. Still, seems a bit excessive.

I heard Obama orders his Chinese food all the way from China too. đŸ˜‰

“Finally, Barack Obama isn’t saddling the American taxpayer with the tab for this feast. He’s picking up the tab, for local ingredients, out of his own pocket.”
Um, where does he get that pocket money? Oh yeah, our taxes.

How is this excessive? This guy was in Washington for a conference and baked Obama a pizza while he was there. I eagerly await the next Obama is evil story..what will y’all attack next? Perhaps it will be the Obama’s choice of socks or maybe it’ll be bed time reading for the kids.

We attack plenty. And y’all show up and rub noses in it the one time out of ten folks are wrong.

Its not a question of right or wrong..its a question of stupidity. Attack Obama for his policies and what he does on the job, I have no problem with that..I’m pretty happy with the guy, but there are some things that he’s done that I’m not as pleased with.
But, stuff like this pizza thing or Michelle Obama patting the queen on the back is simply stupid.

NO, it’s not. As the story was originally reported in the press, it indicated an amazing level of excess. Turned out, the press got it wrong and so did everyone else. Pointing out hypocrisy is not stupid. Even if it later is proven to be false. It’s just wrong. Not stupid.

Something appearing in a right-wing rag in England is somehow the “press”? Sheesh, I should start my blog up again and report on how Barack Obama had sex with monkeys…that would get me tons of links from right-wing blogs.
April 13th, 2009 at 3:40 pm
Daily Mail is a right wing rag. Ok, then.
April 13th, 2009 at 3:42 pm
Uh, Manish? A lot of time is spent attacking Obama’s policy decisions, here and elsewhere. Admittedly, those articles are more complicated and difficult to grasp than the one kvetching about his behavior towards foreign dignitaries or how eco-friendly he isn’t, but they’re certainly out there.
Yeah, there’s a lot of petty stupidity floating around, but it’s not all, or even mostly, that sort of criticism.

I’m not claiming otherwise..simply calling out the stupid shit.

o.k., I mixed up the Mail with another news source. However, the fact remains that one newspaper in England that read into something in the St. Louis Post Dispatch that wasn’t there becomes the basis of an attack story with Ace who also read something that wasn’t in the Mail story. Why not concentrate on getting the facts straight before posting garbage like this? Ah, the temptation to slam Obama over anything is far too great.

I agree with Manish that some care should be taken to verify these stories—stories like this and the “Obama doesn’t know who the French Prez is” that are based on a single source (foreign) should probably be taken with a grain of salt at first.
That being said, I agree with Uncle that had this story been true, it would have absolutely been worthy of attacking, whether it has to do with policy or not.
