I wonder how many tons of trash-mail solicitations those new members will generate? It’s a tossup at the Rivrdog household whether I get more trashmail poundage from CitiBank or the NRA. Between them, they comprise at least 70 percent of the stuff I have to shred (has my name and addy on it) and are the main reason I have to have a new $100 shredder every year or two.

NRA should have quarterly meetings. Or maybe meet twice yearly.
Close to a million bucks in memberships and $70 million dropped on whichever city hosts the convention (leading to much good will) – yes, do that more.
