One of many children

Another bear sighting in Knoxville. Likely the same bear mentioned before.

ETA: looks like authorities found the bear and killed it, upsetting hippies every where.

“looks like authorities found the bear and killed it, upsetting hippies every where.”

They should’ve just live captured it and released the bear in Beserkly CA. Then the hippies could pretend it’s Pooh Bear and give it hugs….

Why’d they kill it, was it rabid or too comfortable with humans (i.e. this is not the first time this bear has been wandering around town)?

Usually they can be tranked and relocated pretty easily.

  3. SayUncle Says:

Same bear supposedly found wandering too many highly populated areas.

There aren’t many things more dangerous than bear. I don’t often feel fear, but a bear or an alligator coming after me will definitely cause it. Uh huh, I have had both happen. A bear is not to be fooled with. If he has become so innured to human habitation as to stay in the locale, the only thing that can be done is to kill it. Otherwise it will just return. Not fair to the bear, but it isn’t fair to the people it inevitably will maul or maybe kill either.

Just caught the Jane’s Addiction reference.

    Slow? Why yes, I am.

I just hope they put that bear to good use, like stews and a rug. I wonder what bear steak tastes like?

That makes sense then, a bear that is too comfortable with urban areas is a dangerous thing.

We just had a black bear wandering through town here, but it was obvious it had just woken up from hibernation as was just hungry and confused (it was making a beeline to the north). They caught up with it here in Everett while it was munching on Blackberries. One quick dart later and it was on a quick trip back to the mountains.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
