I’ve used Doublestar and their sister company J&T Distributing AR-15 parts for years. Here’s a look at their 1911.

The Colt 22 AR. If I didn’t love my ruger 10/22 so much, I might get one of those.

I don’t understand the appeal of the dedicated .22lr AR-15. You can dress up a Ruger 10/22 for less, buy a .22lr bolt kit for $200, or even a dedicated upper for about the same price. 95% of the folks looking at this already have a regular AR. Why spend $500+ on a .22lr rifle that doesn’t even have separate upper and lower halves?
It’s possible that I’m missing something very obvious; can anyone enlighten me?

training. the manual of arms for the AR22 is the same as the one for the AR15.

Apparently there are some concerns about Colt’s AR in 22LR.

Unfortunately, I understand that Colt’s AR22 has a 180-degree safety swticher.
S&W’s future foray into this field supposedly does not.
