Short Barreled 6.8
From POF-USA. While it looks cool, I don’t think shortening the barrel is the best way to utilize the 6.8 round.

This is not a challenge or argument, it’s a legitimate question:
I thought one of the major selling points of 6.8spc is that it is more effective than 5.56 when used with shorter barrels.
I realize that there are limits to everything, so what’s the limit on barrel length for the 6.8spc to be effective? Or was I wrong on the original premise to begin with?

most folks are in agreement that the 16 – 18 inch mark is ideal.

An SBR is never about ideal terminal ballistics, it’s about the best compromise between size and lethality. 6.8 is one of the best rounds available for SBR use as it still reliably fragments while still achieving the FBI min of 12″ penetration from SBR barrels.
Your comment reveals a lot of ignorance on your part.

I say it’s not the most effective use. You say the same thing. And I’m ignorant?
