Unpossible
This man could not have been shot at Buffalo Wild Wings because carrying guns where alcohol is served is illegal.

BWW has had a standing policy on not allowing patrons to carry concealed, legal or not. Lots of folks have boycotted them and written letters complaining that their right of self protection / preservation had been hindered by BWW but was met with typical corporate hoplophobic drivel such as that below which further (again IMHO) heightens their liability in the above mentioned litigation:
——————————–
Buffalo Wild Wings respects the right of individuals to carry firearms but we do not believe they are appropriate inside of a public restaurant. We are focused on the comfort, safety and enjoyment of all of our guests and have elected to exercise our right to restrict the carrying of firearms in our restaurants. We regret any inconvenience this may cause but believe that this policy is in the best interest of all of our guests and our Team Members.
Sincerely
Buffalo Wild Wings

Postal, I recall that. But I think it depends on local management. The local BWW has never posted such a sign.

Huh. I didn’t know that as the local BWW (who’s wings rate a “Meh” on a good day) has no such sinage. Not that I’d pay attention to it as here in Florida it has all the legal oomph of a dirty look, but I tend to not give business to companies where I can a) get a better product and b) not be hassled while doing so.

I don’t know how it goes every where else, but here in Oklahoma there was a rash outbreak of ‘signs’ in the couple of years after CCW passed. There after most new buildings built don’t get the signs because nobody thinks about it any more. The only exception is major freedom fearing corporate offices. They almost always get the signs.

Uncle is right; if there’s a no guns sign, then obviously there was no gun, and obviously there was no shooting, so the story is fabricated. QED.

Only 2 reasons that this story is front-page news instead of a page 16 footnote: 1) Newsome is probably afraid to name the shooter, and 2) unlike some hole in the wall in a crappy neighborhood, his lawyer figures BWW has deep pockets.

They don’t call the “Wild” wings for nothing.
