How to not to do the interwebs

In the latest American Rifleman, there’s an article on Rossi’s new Ranch Hand, basically a Mare’s Leg. Given that I find the Mare’s Leg to be totally sexy, I went to Rossi’s webpage and discover it’s not there. I was disappointed.

I hate stuff like this. I took some nice pictures and got a nice promotional flier from Chiappia about their Rhino Revolver…and they have two lame pictures of it on their web page.

    marketing FAIL!

  2. Gun Blobber Says:

Oh, the ironing! Your link is borked. Was this what you intended?

  3. SayUncle Says:

    lol. that’s funny. fixed now.

  4. Veeshir Says:

Yeah, that got me mad too when I tried to find it on their site.

I would love a mare’s leg. They’re about useless, but darn they’re cool.

  5. JJR Says:

Same thing happened when their Model 92 lever gun was featured in American Rifleman awhile back. It didn’t show up in their actual catalog until a few months later.

I own one, and it’s mighty purdy (case hardening look, octagonal barrel, in .357 mag) , but my local gun shop had to go through quite a hassle to get a hold of one for me…

Hmmmm, I shall have to entrance myself for this one. I quit trying to be a hippie a long time ago, so I’ll need to hum a bit, twirl around a few times, and spit to the west. There, done.
    1. JJR, if you own one of the ’92s in .357, I am a jealous man. Please, tell us of it’s performance.
2.Mare’s legs are not sexy. Women’s legs are another matter, but this is the wrong webpage for that.
3.I took my ccw test with a Rossi .357, and I wish I still had that gun. I carried a Ruger GP100(wish I still owned that one, too), IWB, for about three years. And, an S&W 19(Shit!). You cannot beleive how easy it is to improvise a holster for either.
4.AS for the Rossie, the mare’s leg option is useless. Do it with a 16/4″ to 20″ barrel, and full length magazine. Any pistol caliber, or turdy-turdy. Youth size on the ‘shoulder thing that goe up’. Even if it don’t.
5.When I wrote ‘turdy-turdy’, I did not mean to “dis” ‘da ‘turdy-turdy’. I love it too much to do that.

Respose from AR: Dear Mr. Deepak,

Thank you for your email. Here is the answer from our staff:

“Given the brand new nature of the Ranch Hand, you’ll probably see it in Rossi’s next catalog.”

We appreciate your support of our organization.

    Sincerely,
    American Rifleman

  8. nk Says:

I’ve changed my mind to some extent. I would like it in 32-20.

    More response from AR:
    Dear Mr. Pd,

Thank you for your email. I checked with the company, and this is the answer I received:

“According to the current production schedule the Rossi Ranch Hand should be available in stores late fall 2010. It should be added to the website soon too.”

  10. SayUncle Says:

    well that’s pretty weak.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
