here’s some info on these guns :

    >>> The small one on the left is The Manufrance “Le Gaulois” , an early 20th century pocket pistol using virtually unobtainable 8mm black powder cartridges. In France, anyone over 18 can buy this gun but it’s quite uncommon and pricey.

    >>> The Unique DES69 is a 5 shot, semi-automatic target pistol in 22lr , mostly used by olympic shooters. great competition pistol but no more produced.

even in France they’re not labeled as “unsafe handguns” …

You know it’s bad when the French are making fun of our gun laws 🙂

    haha sorry 🙂
but you know , our gun laws are not that bad , we can own assault rifles , silencers, hi-cap magazines … and “unsafe” handguns

He’s right. Having shot in France, I can vouch for that.

Well-known French guns are menacing the public security of a big American city?
Not long ago, Chicago was one of the rare cities in the USA which banned handguns. But a little more than a month ago – after a long politico-legal “soap opera”–the [U.S.] Supreme Court declared this ban of 28 years unconstitutional, obliging the Mayor of Chicago to put his city laws/codes into conformity [with the decision]. [The mayor being] little inclined to give up any of his power, the new rules put in place on July 12 authorized the possession of one handgun BUT bans gun stores and indoor firing ranges and especially created a list of “dangerous” handguns, of which the purchase and possession is strictly banned (I know you will ask why a certain revolver will be more dangerous than another of the same caliber… I still ask myself the question).

This list is accessible on the Web site of the Chicago Police Department: https://portal.chicagopolice.org/portal/page/portal/ClearPath/About%20CPD/Firearm%20Registration/Unsafe-Roster-final.pdf and — Surprise — we find among these dangerous handguns that menace the public security:

    • ALL pistols of the UNIQUE brand, of which the DES69 is a celebrated pistol in .22LR of French conception and manufacture which is sadly no longer made. It is still one of the top competition pistols at 25 meters.
    • Pocket pistols of the MANUFRANCE brand, the “Gaulois” [the Gaul, a Pre-Christian French tribesman], and the “Pocket Machine Gun”, which are antiques from the beginning of the 20th centrury classified in the [French] 8th Category and which use 8mm calibers for black powder which are totally obsolete and unfindable.

Try to find a logic for all that.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
