More Suppressor Stuff
Because suppressors are the polite thing to do.
Imagine a world where cars didn’t have mufflers and everyone had to wear earplugs to drive.
Why restrict a basic safety accessory?
A look a the paperwork and calls to get suppressors removed from the 1934 list of regulated weapons.
And via Sebastian, a Brady board member sounds off on suppressors. Complete with references to gangsters and hitmen. Suppressors, from my reading, were added to the NFA to prevent poaching on federal land. Of course, the original NFA regulated handguns too. Also, she seems surprised that suppressors don’t actually stop bullets. Who knew?
Suppressors also make guns more pleasant to fire and kid-friendly:

“Imagine a world where cars didn’t have mufflers and everyone had to wear earplugs to drive.”
Funny, I was thinking along similar lines only yesterday when the thoughtless sonofabitch around the corner from me decided to take his seriously over-powered car for a slow spin through the neighborhood, driving up and down all the side streets and culdesacs he doesn’t live on, nearly shattering windows in the process, and causing my other testicle to finally drop.
As far as I know, I’m the only person in my development who happens to open and conceal carry, so even with a silencer, everyone would know it was me who offed his sorry ass.

That P22 makes me jealous every time I see it. AFAIK I can’t even own the threaded barrel, much less the can on the front, until someone does some serious pruning of the NJ gun laws.

Speaking of the p22 how’s it holding up being used with a supressor? My supressor permission slip should be coming soon and I need to get a shooter for it, I was thinking of either the p22 or mosquito.

Avoid the P22. The suppressor beats the hell out of it, knocking screws loose and everything. I like the P22 but it’s not really a great platform for a suppressor.
