A new one

Clips or magazines? Remington says both.

Reminds me of this:

Longtime lurker here. This post brings into question. Are you a /k/ommando?

  2. SayUncle Says:

since i don’t know what that is, i’m guessing i am not.

    4chan reference, Uncle.

    Just steer clear of /b/

  4. Bryan S. Says:

Actually, steer clear of 4chan altogether. Its the internet version of the UN, but without the guise of diplomacy.

Helps get searches directed to the right place, I imagine.

Being technically correct is awesome, but if it costs you business because people search for “clips” and your page only says “magazines”, that’s a loss for everyone involved…

  6. Matt Groom Says:

No wonder they can’t do anything right anymore. They don’t even know what they’re talking about!

  7. Lyle Says:

I think Sigivald nailed it. Internet search results. I use page titles and alt text for crap like that, and try to keep the actual page text and product names clean.

I’ve said it before; if you’re going to call a magazine a clip, then what do you call a clip? “Hey, Man; toss me a….clip, thingy…that’s not a clip….I guess….or something…. You know…one of those dealy bobs. Quick!”

A “magazine clip” would, technically, be something that holds two or more magazines together, or one or more magazines onto something. The Styer Scout rifle comes with what could be called a “magazine clip” in the buttstock, for example.

Uncle, FYI if you clck on the pic, you can see all of you picassa albums. Not sure if you meant to. Bug or feature, your call

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
