How to make a secret book safe
Here. I started making one yesterday. I recommend letting the glue dry overnight. A few cuts:
When I started cutting mine, the glue came undone in spots so I had to re-glue it and stick it back in the vice where it’s still sitting:

Thinkin I’d probably use a router on it rather than hijack it, but yeah, thorough glue drying is crucial.
When I first read the title I figured you were going to be taking a secret book and putting it in a safe place. Duh.

You need to be careful with this……… remember, you do have small children in the house. I think it might be better to opt for a GunVualt handgun safe.

I started doing this and made it through about 5 pages before I got bored out of my skull.
My sister made it through another 15 or so.

We recently purged a closet and I vividly remember looking at the old Merck Chem/Physics Index I picked up in college, at around 6 billion thin pages, and thinking I should keep it.
Dammit.

Once you are done, I recommend to cover the inside with felt or some other soft fabric to protect the finish.

I used a rotozip to cut the pages after all the glue solidified. It worked well but scorched some of the pages as I had the rpm set too high.
