ATF Shotgun Ruling
Looks like their attempt to restrict the import of certain shotguns is back. Only to rifles: Don’t let this go unanswered, comment on this proposal.
Update: That will teach me to blog on two hours of sleep with multiple tabs open.

These FBATFE rules are just trial balloons. If Oh! Bummer! gets a second term, look for MUCHO “executive action” so as to pretty much prohibit import of ANYTHING milsurp, guns OR ammo, and first will come the “parts kits” that the likes of Century Arms makes all those “Americanized” AKs, etc out of.
Think almost NOTHING from EAA or Baikal or ANY of the Russ armories. No FNs. No Steyr AUGs.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Cruffler arms prohibited, too.
Maybe we MIGHT be allowed “sporting” arms of the O/U shotgun variety, spendy drillings and H’english doubles, etc, but if it is a repeater of semi-auto design, no, it will not get here.
JMHO, but I think it’s time to worry, and/or buy those you think you will/might need.

Did you even read the linked proposal?

(It says nothing about shotguns. Or importation. It’s another attempt to implement Form 3310s to multiple sales of Evil Black Rifles in CA/AZ/NM/TX. Y’know, because the BATFEIEIO got caught letting multiple sales get walked across the border.)
