Looks like there is a $200 transfer tax for firearms covered under the National Firearms Act. 26 U.S.C. § 5811.

yeah, i’ve paid that one before. but they usually sentence you to 10 years for that one.

That’s the potential range for some NFA offenses, but if you have a guy that is Category 0-1 and you can get it down a couple of levels with AoR and the like (cooperation, etc.), you may be able to keep him out on probation or house arrest in the A zone.
