Have you worn the 5.11 shorts / short pants? Same pocket config on the standard shorts, but they offer a lighter material on some that is more comfortable and it has a nice knife pocket.
They don’t really say what a “chamber pocket” is, or what it’s designed to hold. I guess it’s like Obama Care – you have to buy it to find out what it does?
Think of a pocket, it’s kind of a bag sewn onto a slot in the pants. Now, imagine that bag divided in half the long way, with the front compartment used as a regular pocket and the back compartment sealed separate.
Put your J-frame/.380 in the back compartment. Keeps it safe and separate. If printing’s an issue, fold up a piece of paper and put it in the front pocket.

Still very fond of my 5.11 pants and shorts. Woolrich as good?

I like them. They’re lighter and more comfy when the weather is warm.

I’ll look into the Woolrich on your advice.

It’s a pocket behind a pocket.
