Science fiction wins again! There’s a novel, Jennifer Government, positing a future where McDonalds sponsors schools and gets their logo on the uniforms.
I can see having a “Coke day” especially in that part of the country as long as it ends with more funds to be used for the education of the kids but taking it so seriously as to suspend a kid for wearing a Pepsi shirt? That’s a bit stupid. I’m sure the Coke reps know they are going to a high school that is full of rebellious smartasses. I doubt they’d have a problem with one kid wearing a Pepsi shirt while they’re there.
Heh, I used to wear a Tshirt from our arch rival on “school colors day” in high school, but then I was big enough the football players knew better than mess with me. Some people just can’t deal with it when anyone else fails to be enthusiastic for their pet things.
Did you guys not RTFA? The incident that happened 13 years ago was a tie in to an incident that happened this year. It was used as an illustration to highlight similar past abuses.
