@Mike W: I’ll bet that he would have used an AR, except that this was California, where they banned them after the last time a group of Asian Americans used ARs to hold off a rampaging mob.
I’m betting that they’ll try to ban pump shotguns now.

You can get an AR herein California! We have a 10-round magazine limit and it has to have a “bullet-button” interference mechanism, but they sell S&W M&P’s with all that straight from the factory, and AK’s.

A lot of the “protestors” don’t come from Oakland, they are organized and pretend to be “anarchists” and they fly in from elsewhere (at the last Oakland riot some came from San Diego, some from Seattle, some from the MidWest) and put on the black hoodies so they can do the “direct action” shtick. ACORN was organizing and paying a bunch of them in NYC, probably out here in CA too.
They are the black-bloc actors who set fires and attack other numb-minds who think that this whole thing is about “protesting” and attempt(ed) to mitigate (some of) the violence – and got beaten-up by the BlackBloc themselves while attempting that — but the whole point of the “protest” and encampment is to springboard the violence into action.
This is the whole Wet-dream of the Left – to be in action, “direct action,” it’s the fuse to Kristallnacht and the Reichstag fire, it’s how they precipitate a collapse and it’s how Hugo Chavez took-over Venezuela.
