Like you and me, only better
In Cali, people are shocked that the police are not subject to the same firearms restrictions as everyone else:
A federal investigation into weapons dealing by officers in three Sacramento-area law enforcement agencies has shined a light on provisions in California law that allow peace officers to buy guns, high-capacity magazines and assault weapons that are illegal for the public.

Remember, only the ATF is Allowed to Break the Gun Laws. Wonder if Mickey Bloomburg will start a Campaign to shut down the “Cop-Buying Loophole?”

What! You mean they’re shocked that their state government, like the federal government, has trampled “the equal protection of the laws” clause in the 14th Amendment–one of the two that ended slavery??!!

Its one of the few ways you can get off-roster handguns in the state. Get a cop to buy one, and then sell it to you via one of his 4 annual private sales.

What a racket.. But then that is California. A better racket than the ATF has.

Few days back a legislator here in OK proposed a law that any citizen involved in a SD shooting can’t be forced to give a statement for 48 hours; when asked why that long he said that “A number of states/cities have that as the time a police officer can take to cool down before he can be made to testify, and if it’s good enough for the police…”
Been some interesting reactions.

You can’t be forced to give a statement anyway. In fact, you should never, ever, ever, give a statement to police other than “I was in fear for my life, I want my attorney.” They don’t call ’em “mouthpieces” for nothing — let the lawyer do the talking.
