That big Brady Initiative
The major announcement and initiative to stop gun violence: Light a candle. Are they in their death throes? I dunno but this seems pretty weak. Positive thinking doesn’t change the world and neither does feel good symbolism.

So to stop gun violence, they are increasing their CO2 emmissions? Won’t that speed up global warming or something?

Picking the only time of year when most people light candles anyway, then jumping in to claim their allegiance, reminds me of asking everyone to turn on their house lights at 10 PM to show support for your cause. If you have a priest or minister, have a word.
This will certainly make for a safer Christmas at my house. I feel for my menorah-lighting friends, who will be religiously discomfited in their avoidance.
You can shoot out a candle, if you’re good, just sayin.

Aren’t they worried about the carbon footprint of all those candles?

Don’t those candles catch stuff on fire and all that. Sounds dangerous.

If someone dies in a house fire ’cause of that, do we get to call the Brady Campaign candle-based death-merchants?
Fair’s fair, after all.

“How’s Mom?”
“She’s on the roof.”
