Starbucks Appreciation Day
The anti-gun folks are still sulking because Starbucks chooses to respect the civil rights of its patrons and allows the carry of firearms in their stores. As such, they are organizing a boycott of Starbucks on February 14. Why it’s just one day, I do not know. I guess anti-gunners drink a lot of Starbucks. As a response, it’s time for Starbucks Appreciation day where those of us on the side of civil rights will go and purchase some overpriced coffee and pastries in support of their decision.
A buycott of gratitude, where we go out of our way to spend at Starbucks as enthusiastically as we can – by preference open carrying where legal and practical, concealed carry where it’s not, and for those desperate lands of greater and lesser Mordor where carry is not an option for the average peon (for surely they cannot be citizens in such a land) simply spending – but in all cases making a point of thanking counter staff for their corporations stand against bigotry and discrimination against law abiding persons.

The Minutewoman created a Facebook event for it.
Spread it like wildfire!

Done and done.
Will post it on my blog, and on my sales website.

Spreading the Word. Thank God they have Pastries.

Yes, but they’re very tasty overpriced coffee and pastries, and when you factor in the small price of supporting the RKBA they won’t be overpriced at all.

Customer: “Hey barrista! Thanks for Starbucks letting me carry my Glock 9mm in this here coffee house!”
Barrista: “We prefer grande calibers like .40 and .45, but thanks!”

I’m in. I’ll put it up on my blog, my forum and maybe make a video of it too.

I’m there. I always like Starbucks coffee. Seems to taste better all the time. Except that they stopped selling Maple Oat Nut Scones. That was almost a deal breaker.

I keep reading “pasties”.
I’ll have a cuppa.

Just a suggestion for Feb 14 at Starbucks.
Pay with at least one $2.00 bill.
They are easily obtainable in banks yet rarely seen in a cash drawer. Having several thousand or more appear in one day would certainly stand out.

@NukenJim
that’s a brilliant idea

Piggybacking on NukemJim’s brilliant suggestion, may I add the thought to mark those $2 bills with “2nd Amendment Appreciation”, just to help ensure that $tarbuck$ really gets the message?

The $2 bill thing is brilliant.

lol, TTAG is taking credit for the anti-boycott idea.

this is my shocked face.

$2 bill. Good idea, with Jim’s suggested addendum. For those who don’t care for Starbucks’s tendency to over roast their beans–which earned them the nickname Charbux here in Seattle–their new “blonde” roast is lighter. Or, try an Americano, which is a couple of shots of espresso watered down, tastes like real coffee. Also has less caffeine, if that concerns you.
