It must be in Euro-beta. A is for ARmalite. B for St. John Moses Browning PBUH. D is for Detonics…? Ok fight over that. I is for Ithaca, but Ingram is ok. Definitely W for Winchester.
Gunbloggers, it appears that the gauntlet has been thrown down….
Your mission (should you choose to accept it as such) will be to come up with The Firearm Alphabet of your own choosing, with each letter to be represented by an appropriate gun, PREFERABLY one which with you have shooting experience.
Submissions should be made to any and all willing Gunnie Weblogs no later than Thursday, March 1st, 2012.
If nothing else, it will make for interesting discussion over suitable alcoholic libations after a good recoil therapy session!
Personally, I firmly believe that the letter “S” should be represented by the Sharps falling block rifle. (but that’s just my opinion.)
There.
That ought to start something interesting and fun. 😀
Hooah!

Cold Python?
February 14th, 2012 at 12:48 pm
A “Cold” Python. *facepalm*
February 14th, 2012 at 12:48 pm
Ugh, not only did I *not* edit the post, I doubled.
Allen, it’s not just a “Cold”, it’s a “Pyton”…

Let he who has never made a typographical error cast the first stone.
February 14th, 2012 at 12:53 pm
Jay is correctamundo. I never got past “Cold” before my head hit the desk and I commented using the Force.
February 14th, 2012 at 12:58 pm
Ain’t a typo, Uncle. That grade of error requires extreme ignorance.

The face hit the palm when I read “Cold Pyton.” At first I thought it was a joke, then I realized all of the other names were spelled correctly.
February 14th, 2012 at 1:26 pm
“Piton” is how it’s pronounced in Russian. From the inclusion of rubber-shooters like Esaul, I suspect the author isn’t a native English speaker.
February 14th, 2012 at 2:04 pm
Regardless of the spelling, it’s still fucking awesome

S is for Sig! (there’s too many rifles in a row)
February 14th, 2012 at 2:57 pm
Yeah, not exactly the weapons an American would have picked, no. I think Oleg has it.
February 14th, 2012 at 3:02 pm
OK, Oleg, that would ‘splain it. I’ll withdraw my complaint.
February 14th, 2012 at 3:33 pm
I like it, defects and all.
February 14th, 2012 at 4:20 pm
Minor niggle. Correct “Lancaster” to “Lanchester”? From the outline, anyway.
February 14th, 2012 at 4:24 pm
Hey! This is a gyp!
B is for Browning! Whether for high power, or BAR, or M-2, but come on!!!
and W is for Winchester!
no Rugers on the list? S is for Security Six? M is for MK-1 or Mini-14
February 14th, 2012 at 4:52 pm
Better than A is for Apple IPod…

Internet typos: serious business.
I think it’s cool, even with the mistakes.

Hmmmm, Norinco instead of Nineteen By Gawd Eleven, I smell a chicom.
