Things lawyers do

The determination that for a gun to be a loaded gun it must be loaded went all the way to the NH supreme court.

So wait, you have a post where you say that “All guns are loaded” and then you seem to think that they need to be loaded to be loaded.

    Now I’m confused.

Or just trying to be an intertubes nitwit.

I’m still trying to figure that out.

  2. Ron Says:

Given this post is only 5 posts removed from one entitled “All Guns Are Always Loaded,” perhaps lawyers are not the only ones who enjoy semantics…

  3. SayUncle Says:

Well, one is a quote of how rule #1 is commonly portrayed not a statement on a gun actually being loaded. If they were always loaded, I’d never have to buy ammo.

  4. Nolan Says:

Not only would you not have to buy ammo, but disassembling several handguns would be impossible, since you need to pull the trigger to get the slide off.

  5. comatus Says:

Semantics, some antics, what difference does it make.

  6. Lyle Says:

Let’s not forget the judges. Lawyers can only get away with a scintilla of bullshit because there are judges willing to entertain, nurture, foster, encourage, promote, defend, protect and uphold bullshit.

So long as bullshit is tolerated in the courts, there’s no reason for the lawyers to stop using it.

“So long as bullshit is tolerated in the courts, there’s no reason for the lawyers to stop using it.”

The Progressives know this. They’ve known it for over 100 years, and that is how and why they’ve been able to seriously degrade this country using the courts. They don’t have to win elections or ballot initiatives so much as control the courts.

  8. Chas Says:

Most gun owners don’t have the slightest comprehension that the anti’s want us nothing less than dead. Dead.

  9. Chas Says:

BTW, gun ownership is covered by “the pursuit of happiness” or fuck you.

  10. nk Says:

This probably started out as a case of a shotgun with a shellholder attached or the magazine rubber-banded to the stock of a semi-auto.

  11. wizardpc Says:

The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency used to have a policy where any firearm that had any ammunition in the same compartment (including the passenger compartment) was “Loaded.”

So, theoretically, if you had a shotgun locked in a gunrack with a trigger lock and a cable lock through the action, and a loose 12ga birdshot round under your front seat….you had a loaded gun.

And they’d take your truck via asset forfeiture.

    We fixed that in 2010.

    Urm… WTFO??? Sigh…

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
