I’d suggest grouping the 38S&W, 38SPL and 357 Mag as one cartridge “type”, and doing the same for the 10mm & 40.
That leaves three more spaces for cartridges such as the 22LR (shot in more volume through handguns than any other cartridge throughout history) and perhaps a pinfire round (because history) and a new round, like 5.7×28 that returns to the concept of a pistol/carbine combo round.
And where did the .41 Mag go? It was the perfect compromise between a .357 and a .44, and was going to revolutionize handgunning, until it didn’t.

I left all rimfire cartridges off the list. Plus, what does the “r” in .22 LR stand for? 🙂
