Uhm, boy?
I dunno. I think my kids would be quite happy with the plastic fanstastic. They’re not heirlooms. They’re tools. I have other things for heirlooms.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

I disagree, while plastic pistols are great they are not heirlooms. Those pistlos are, to a certain extent, disposable.

If it is reliable, goes bang every time it’s never going to be obsolete, but it might just become an heirloom.
I still shoot the following:
German P08 (1914), C96 Bolo w/stock (1934) & P38 (1938)
Austria Steyr 1911 (1914)
Jap Nambu Type 14 (1944) yes, I reload for this one.
Soviet Tula TT33 (1939)
US Colt 1911 (1918)
Spanish Astra’s 300, 400 & 600
I would not choose any of them as my first choice for self protection. But if left on the night stand, I would feel well protected with several of the above.
But that’s what the Keltec P3AT and Glocks 19, 20 & 21 are for..

I play with the tupperware guns a bit, but keep carrying alloy and steel frames. Not too many years, those’ll be heirlooms anyway along with some purt-near pristine plastics.
