As Bitter said, they clearly “Targeted” OC, and I don’t blame them, I blame OCT and similar half-witted activists/exhibitionists on “our” side; hope they’re happy, the Bloomommies are.
Uh, re-read the Statement again, Unc. Target doesn’t want Guns in their Stores, “…even if it’s Legal.” That includes Concealed Carry, not just Open.
So guess who just became a Frequent Shopper of Wally World, where at my neighborhood Wal-Mart, I can buy Ammo 24/7? Except for .22LR, of course. But that’s not Wal-Marts fault. And they don’t say Squat about Open Carry of Handguns.
Target said they don’t want guns in their store, period. No open carry, no concealed carry, no sidearms, no long guns. If you have a gun (and presumably aren’t a cop, although they didn’t exempt LEOs) corporate does not want you to shop there.
Your odds of being caught and asked to leave are low if you are concealing but don’t pretend that they actually want you in their store.
Walked past a no “weapons” sign today. I’d’ve had to unload a pantload, plus “these hands are registered as legal weapons” as uncle Si says. Nolo problemo. We’ll see if Target (oh the irony) has a problem soon. I relish walking past the signs, and teaching my offspring to do likewise.

So does this mean I should start shopping at Target all of the sudden then quit to show I don’t support their policies???
The nearest Target compared to my location is 40 miles. I think I can “get by” with their ban…

Target suddenly sounds like a very very safe place for an armed robbery.

Looks to me like they’ll ask you to leave if they see you open carrying.

I’m not sure this is new at least in my area. I’ve seen security at Target ask armed customers to leave. I avoid them when possible.

Their statement was very clear. All guns, not just OC.

I wonder if they’re going to put up the “No Gunz” signs or just depend on the CCW’ers doing the Right Thing.
And can they keep you and your gat out without the signs, based on “corporate policy”?
Until then, “no sign” = “we must be welcome”

OCT didnt cause this, a busybody and his army of Mom’s from NYC caused this.

And that busybody has millions and a media empire…. so he’s a bit better prepped than anyone on our side.
